Dont waste your money. This is the only app that is not able to determine location via GPS

This app has a lot of good features but its missing the ability to stop timing the race after the start sequence...the timer just keeps going. It would be very useful to have an option to stop the timer so that I can time my regattas. And, could you please cancel the max 1 hour that can be timed? My regattas last longer than 1 hour and if the timer continued this could potentially be a very useful app!

What a great sailboat starting app! Ive always taken my iPhone with me whilst sailing, but never had a decent way to do the stuff this app can do! My guess is the developer has extensive experience both sailing and programming computers, making thus a natural extensive of his two loves. Or hers. I dont know the devs gender. I would like to meet this developer one day and pick his or her brain for all the wisdom it undoubtedly contains therein!

Checked the requirements and thought I was good. This app requires the gps chip....does not work with the 3G. Ill have to wait until August for updating when my contract expires.

Takes too long to acquire satellites. Works well once the sats are found.

Time to line function is pure magic! Make certain you acquire satellites before your start sequence. Settings for iPhone need to be adjusted so that device does not "sleep" during sequence, or you lose line position.

Works well, is easy to use and accurate. Screen fonts and audible sounds all work well. Needs to start counting up after the start and continue to provide distance to committee boat. Otherwise great app.

This is a very easy to use app that does a few basic things that are key to sailboat racing very well. This app does what $500 freestanding gps racing gear/toys do with the exception of being waterproof ;-). Think Velocitek Pro Start for the iPhone, just add a waterproof case. It has: 1. Count down clock, which can be easily adjusted to offical race countdown. It rounds to the nearest minute at the touch of a button. 2. Count down clock can automatically turn into a race time clock at the start. 3. The killer feature is the time and distance to the line based on your speed. The developer responded to my question the same day, with a fix! A+ App, with great support. Well done and well worth the nominal cost.

DL app on Friday, raced on Saturday. Worked GREAT! I started in the lead. I usually dont have enough crew to time our distance from the line. No more guessing!!! I hope my competitors dont find this app.

I dont know how well it works because it doesnt! Every time I open the app, I get a pop-up window saying "unable to determine position" and its thereafter useless. The really frustrating thing is that theres no explanation or help available to get it working.

I have tried several of these and found them too complicated so I reverted by boat instruments or my watch. Well on the way out the door for a single handed race I found my watch batterie was dead. Off to the App Store and I tried this one. With no practice I was able to mark the pin and boat end. It worked great and got me to the line with one of my best starts ever. The display was a bit hard to read in the daylight but afterward I found my display settings were set rather low. Maybe an in app brightness control. But dont make it any more completed than it is. IT WORKS. Awesome, thanks folks..

I really wish you could change from meters to feet. Obviously you can do this with close approximation in your head but not in the heat of a start" when you have your eye on many things.

Don’t waste your money on other apps. This is the best one. It works.

The newly updated version of this app is a must have for serious racers. It takes the guesswork out of getting great starts when you race. Furthermore, the support that is available from the author is better than any I have ever received from an app provider. Aaa++++
